As part of its programme to bring Naïve Art to the widest possible audience, the International Museum of Naïve Art regularly organises temporary exhibitions.

Each exhibition has a theme and is designed to present pieces from the existing collection as well as new aquisitions. Subjects chosen in 2003 and 2004 were "Festivities in Naïve Art", "The Countryside around the World", "The four seasons", the "Magic of Colour" and "An Atlantic Crossing" (May 4th, September 5th 2004).

Other temporary exhibitions are voyages of discovery through foreign cultures such as "136 pieces from the Trebnje Museum of Slovenia" in 1997, "French and Senegalese Image Makers" in 1999 and "Indian Naïve Artists" in 2002, presenting the visitor with a unique view of these countries' religious traditions, customs, everyday life and leisure activities as well as an insight into the cultural differences in esthetics and techniques.

The itinerant exhibition aims to provide access to the Museum collection to a wider public beyond our walls.

The Itinerant exhibition "A Day with the Family", shown in the French towns of Saint Cyr and Montfort l'Amaury in 2002 and in Viroflay and Poissy in 2003, offers a fresh take on family life as seen by Naïve artists around the world.
